Has the Bush administration gone mad? Normally I agree with the Bush administration but I take issue over two things: 1) Illegal Immigrants (Stop them now!) and 2) What the heck are you thinking? Why give a United Arab Emirates security firm six of our ports to protect? Are we trying to invite the terrorists over here? With the UAE controlling security at six of our ports the terrorists could easily slip a nuclear weapon into the United States and BOOM the rest of New York City is gone.
Why not continue with our guys in the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for security. As a ICE agent said when told of this deal: "Allowing the UAR to take over these important Ports is akin to allowing Michael Jackson to babysit your children, or allowing Bill Clinton to take your wife along on a business trip!"
Mr. President, maybe you think you are extending the hand of friendship to a third-world nation. But this nation harbors terrorists, according to your speech after Sep. 11, 2001 that should disqualify them from having anything to do with the US, especially something to do with protecting our ports! If this "security" firm gets the job then we will be more vulnerable to another terrorist attack on US soil than we have been since 9/11.
