Is the EU crazy? Personally, I think so, but I'll digress for the moment. The European Union has put together a package of economic and political proposals as an incentive for Iran to close down its Nuclear Program. A word of advice to the EU, diplomacy won't work, bending over backwards won't work...only one thing will convince the terrorist now president of Iran: force!
Not a just a verbal threat of invasion but actual plans for invasion followed by invasion if he still refuses to give up their nuclear weapons program.

Normally I would agree with you, but I think some acknowledgement has to be made that Iran is now a nuclear power. I agree that the threat of force cannot be taken off the table but one must proceed with caution. In Iraq, the US faced a megalomaniac determined to get WMD's; in Iran we face a nuclear-armed nation with plenty of military power of its own. As with North Korea, I think a package ought to made of a blend of threats and incentives: we reserve the right to use force if necessary (and there can be no doubt: Iran must not be allowed nuclear weapons and disarmament is the goal) but if you verifiably destroy your weapons program, there will be diplomatic recognition of your government, a no-invasion pledge, stepped-up aid from the outside world in developing a non-nuclear power source and increased economic ties with the rest of the world. Force is not always wrong, but it's not always the first choice either.
